Switching
character modes
In the character entry
screen, the character
mode switches as
follows each time you
press o (Chrct).
Alphabetic

Numeric
↓
Kanji/hiragana
↓
Katakana
To switch the double-
byte/single-byte
modes in Katakana,
Alphabetic or
Numeric input mode,
select " Single-
byte/ Double-
byte" from the
function menu of
the character entry
screen.
To enter a character that
is assigned to the same
key immediately after
entering the character
such as " あ " and " い ",
X j to move the cursor.
