Precautions
・
If the FOMA terminal gets wet with water or other liquids with the external
connector terminal cap or the back cover open, the liquid may get inside
the terminal causing electric shocks or malfunction. Stop using the FOMA
terminal, turn off the power, remove the battery pack and contact a repair
center that DOCOMO specifies.
・ The rubber packing of the external connector terminal cap and the back
cover play an important role in maintaining waterproof performance.
Do not remove or scratch them. Also, prevent dust from adhering to them. If
the rubber packing of the external connector terminal cap or the back cover
is damaged or deformed, replace it at a repair center that DOCOMO specifies.

Do not insert sharp objects through external connector terminal cap and
back cover gaps. May damages the rubber packing and allow water to seep.
・
If the back cover is damaged, replace it. Water may seep inside from a
damaged section causing troubles such as electric shocks or corrosion of the
battery.
・ Do not leave water on FOMA terminal. In a cold region, water may freeze causing
malfunction.
・ To prevent condensation, do not bring the FOMA terminal from a cold
place to a bathroom, etc. without letting the FOMA terminal cool to room
temperature.
・
Do not apply water flow stronger than allowed (e.g., such water flow that
gives you pain when applied to your skin directly from a faucet or shower).
May cause malfunction through N-03B provides waterproof performance of
IPX5.
・
Do not wash FOMA terminal in a washing machine etc.
・ Accessories and optional devices are not waterproof. When watching 1Seg
etc. with FOMA terminal installed in the provided desktop holder, do not use
it in a bathroom, shower room, kitchen or lavatory even if it is not connected
to the AC adapter.
・ Do not put FOMA terminal in hot water, use it in a sauna or apply hot airflow
(from a hair dryer etc.) to it.
・ Do not directly place the FOMA terminal on sandy beaches.
* Sands enter into the holes on the microphone, earpiece, or speakers, and it might
happen that volume is reduced.
* If you operate the FOMA terminal with water drops or sands adhered to, sound
might be deteriorated.
* Even the slightest sands entered from the external connector terminal cap or
back cover could cause water to enter the inside of the FOMA terminal.
・ Do not poke the microphone, earpiece or speaker with swab or sharp object.
May damage the waterproof performance.
