Warranty and After-Sales Service
Warranty

Make sure that a warranty is included when you purchase the FOMA terminal. Check the
content, information about "
販売店名・お買い上げ日
" (the shop, date of purchase), etc.
Keep the warranty card in a safe place. If the warranty card does not contain necessary
information, immediately contact the shop and request them to fill in the card. The
warranty is valid for one year from the date of purchase written on the warranty.

The product in whole or in part, including its accessories, is subject to improvement without notice.
After-sales service

If your FOMA terminal needs repairs
Before having your FOMA terminal repaired, see "Troubleshooting" in this manual or in
"
使 い か た ガ イ ド
(Guide)" (Japanese) that is installed in FOMA terminal. If you still have
problems, please contact "Repairs" on the last page of this manual (in Japanese only).

If, after contacting DOCOMO, you are informed that your FOMA terminal needs repairs
Bring it to a repair counter specified by DOCOMO. The repair counter is only open
during business hours. Depending on the malfunction, repairs may take some time.
・
Within the warranty period
- Repairs will be made free of charge based on the provisions of the warranty.
- Bring the warranty card when requesting repairs. Charges will apply even when the FOMA
terminal is still under warranty if the warranty card is not submitted, or if malfunction or damage
(damage on the liquid crystal, connector, etc.) is the result of mishandling by the subscriber.
- Charges will apply even within the warranty period for repairs resulting from use of
devices and accessories not specified by DOCOMO.

Repairs may not be possible in the following circumstances:
- The repair counter detects water exposure (Example : the water exposure detection sticker detects water exposure)
- Tests determine that corrosion has occurred due to water exposure, condensation,
perspiration, etc. or the circuit board has been damaged or altered (the external connector
terminal (earphone/microphone terminal), liquid crystal, case, etc. has been damaged)
* These cases are not covered by the warranty, and any repairs that may be possible
will be carried out at the subscriber's expense.

After the warranty has expired
Repairs can be carried out upon request but at the subscriber's expense.

Stock period of parts
Functional parts (required to maintain phone operation) will be kept in stock for a minimum
of 6 years after the product is discontinued. Depending on the malfunction, parts shortage
and other conditions may mean that the FOMA terminal cannot be repaired.
