1.0 GENERAL INFORMATION
In this manual the term “machine” refers to the various models of log-splitter.
1.1 MANUFACTURER
Docma Srl
has extensive experience in the construction of machinery for forestry applications and for
cutting and splitting firewood.
1.2 SERVICE
For any requirements regarding the use or maintenance of the machine or to order spare parts, custo-
mers should contact an authorised service centre, or alternatively

directly, specifying the
machine identification data shown on the rating plate (Fig. 1).
1.3 CE MARK
The machine is built in compliance with the relevant EU directives applicable at the time it is introduced
into the market.
1.4 WARRANTY
The warranty on the components of the machine is valid from the date shown on the delivery docu-
ments, invoice or receipt:
►
24 months on the mechanical parts.
►
The warranty, at the manufacturer’s sole discretion, only covers the parts replaced, excluding
labour and transport costs.
►
Any defective components must be kept by the person or persons authorised to make the repla-
cements, in order to be checked by the manufacturer.
►
The place of jurisdiction for any disputes is Verona.
The warranty does not cover any damage to the machine caused by:
►
transport and/or movement;
►
improper or unskilled use of the machine by the user
►
use with components that have been tampered with and/or are faulty
►
failure to perform properly the maintenance operations described in this manual
►
faults and/or breakages not due to the operation of the machine
►
damage to the electrical components for failing to observe the VDE - DIN 0100, DIN 57113 / VDE
0113 electrical standards.
1.5 CUSTOMER DUTIES
An area must be provided for installation that is suitable for the dimensions of the machine and the
hoisting equipment used (e.g. bridge crane, crane). To ensure stability and safety the working area
must be levelled.
The machine is delivered complete and does not have any special system or environmental requi-
rements. Unless otherwise agreed contractually, the customer is normally responsible for providing:
►
a suction system for the wood chips/dust when the machine is used in closed places;
►
mains power supply, 220 Volt or 380 Volt.
All the connections must be in compliance with the VDE and DIN standards; only
use H 07 RN connection cables.
