If you have activated one of the digital inputs, you can, depending on the incoming sound
material, select between 5.1-channel operation and 2-channel operation (=stereo with
subwoofer). Press the
DTS / DOLBY DIGITAL key for 5.1-operation and the STEREO key
for 2-channel operation.
If your sound material is analogue, press the SURROUND MODE key and you can produce
a realistic, three-dimensional stereophonic sound which creates distances, movements and
relative positions and thus invests your cinema experience with an impressing presence. If
SURROUND MODE is activated (Movie or Music), the blue ring surrounding this key is
illuminated. In order to deactivate the surround mode, press the 2CH-key.
Or you select the function DOLBY PRO LOGIC II via the remote control. In this mode, the
5 output channels are decoded out of the stereo input signal.
Experiment with these settings until you have found a setting that is in your opinion
optimal. Orientate yourself always by the format of the present audio material. Information
on this can in most cases be found on the case of the data medium.
Phones output
On the left front side of the device, you find the phones jack PHONES. Connect here stereo
phones with a 6.3 mm jack plug. The speakers are switched off. We recommend you to
switch to STEREO so that you don’t miss anything in phones operation.
Display key
Press the DISPLAY key while the device is processing external signals in order to have the
format of the input signal shown.
Dimmer
If the brightness of the display disturbs you, press the DIMMER key in order to dim the
display in 2 steps.
