5.3 Other functions/settings
New Patient (Reset)
With this function, the CPM device will move to the home position.
Select the function and activate it by tapping "OK"; then press
START
:
• The device moves to the home position.
• The programmed treatment parameters are deleted.
• All values stored on the chip card are deleted.
• The device stops midway between the angles set for ante-/retroversion,
abduction/adduction and internal/external rotation.
The "New Patient" function (home position) selects the following settings:
• Anteversion:
30°
• Retroversion:
20°
• Abduction:
50°
• Adduction:
40°
• Internal rotation:
5°
• External rotation:
–5°
• Motion pattern:
PNF
• Pauses:
0
• Timer:

Conversion (right/left conversion):
With this function, the CPM device can easily be converted for treatment of the
right arm or of the left arm.
Select the function and tap "OK".
Then, you will be guided interactively through the conversion procedure by on-
screen instructions (for details, also refer to section: 6.4). Each time you confirm
completion of a step with "OK", the next step follows automatically.
Displayed view:
With the View setting, you toggle between the displayed views during operation
of the device. The symbol is shown in the upper left corner of the status line
when the device has stopped; it can only be selected at this point.
Tap the symbol and the view changes automatically.
Available views are: "Expert view" and "Standard view".
