5.4.3 Isolated anteversion/
retroversion
1. Complete the mechanical settings and
adjust the device to the patient as de-
scribed in section 4.2.
2. Then, program the fixed positions for
motors B (abduction/adduction) and C
(internal/external rotation) and the range
of motion for motor A (anteversion/
retroversion) as described in 5.1 in the
following order:
• First, program the fixed position for
execution of anteversion/retroversion
in the abduction/adduction plane of
motion (motor B), and then deactivate
the motor.
• Subsequently, program the fixed
position for execution of anteversion/
retroversion in the internal/external
rotation plane of motion (motor C),
and then deactivate the motor.
• Finally, program the range of motion
for anteversion/retroversion (motor A).
3. Save the settings with the
STOP button
,
set the device to the starting position
with the
START button
, and initiate
therapy by pressing the
START button
again.
Note!
• For an exclusive anteversion/retrover-
sion protocol, motors B (abduction/
adduction) and C (internal/external
rotation) must be switched off.
• Having programmed the ranges of
motion, you can program additional
options, such as pause or speed.
• The fixed stop positions of the differ-
ent motors can also be adjusted when
they are deactivated.
5.4.4 Isolated elevation
(flexion)
5.4.4.1 For extension/flexion
(elevation) with flexion
of elbow
1. Complete the mechanical settings and
adjust the device to the patient as de-
scribed in section 4.2.
2. Program the desired position for motor
A (anteversion/retroversion) where the
isolated elevation (flexion) movement is
to be carried out (usually 90°), and then
deactivate motor A.
3. Program the desired position for mo-
tor C (internal/external rotation) to be
maintained during the isolated elevation
(flexion) movement (usually 90°), and
then deactivate motor C.
4. Program the desired range of motion for
the isolated elevation (flexion) movement
at motor B (abduction/adduction).
5. Save the settings with the
STOP button
,
set the device to the starting position
with the
START button
, and initiate
therapy by pressing the
START button
again.
Note!
• For an exclusive flexion (elevation)
protocol, motors A (anteversion/
retroversion) and C (internal/external
rotation) must be switched off.
• Having programmed the ranges of
motion, you can program additional
options, such as pause or speed.
• The fixed stop positions of the differ-
ent motors can also be adjusted when
they are deactivated.
