3. INSTALLATION AND RUNNING
(Fig. 3) Remove cover [1] by operating with a screw in the appropriate
slit. Firmly secure the radar as it is shown in fi g. 4 so that detection of
overall area opposite the passageway is possible.
Note: Avoid placing objects that can oscillate in the detection area, such
as curtains, signs or plants. Make sure the sensor can not be reached
by rain or snow and is not directed towards fl uorescent lights.

5. DETECTION AREA ADJUSTMENT
5.1 Lens selection
(Fig. 6) Chose the desired detection area form by using the appropriate
lens. With standard lens [4] PASM242 sensors are provided off-the-
shelf.
To select a narrow area, rotate anticlockwise the standard lens [4] and
set DIP4=ON.
When a spot area is selected, remove the standard lens [4] and mount
the spot lens [8] so that the triangles on the revolving antenna and on
the lens meet in the same position.
5.2 Detection area depth selection
Depth is adjustable by operating on the vertical angle of the adjustable
antenna [3]. In the example of fi gure 7 the installation height is 2.3 m,
the vertical angle is 30° and the sensitivity adjustment trimmer is set
at half.
Note: Make sure the sensor does not detect the moving wing.
5.3 Detection area selection
The example in fi gure 8 shows the detection area adjustment to the left,
which can be obtained by:
a) rotating the revolving antenna with a clockwise movement [3];
b) rotating the standard lens [4] with an anticlockwise movement.
Note: To adjust the detection area to the right, make opposite
movement.
5.4 Sensitivity adjustment
(Fig. 9) Adjust the detection area sensitivity by means of the sensitivity
trimmer [5]:

6. ONE-WAY RADAR PasM24W2
To use radar PasM24W2 in one-way mode, set DIP1=ON and it is advi-
sable to set DIP2=ON to increase the safety of the people detected.
