a. Attach the IR head clip to the receiver’s bottom panel, on the
grate directly behind the front panel’s IR sensor. You
must
center the clip on the second slot from the left. There is a
CLIP
label on the bottom panel of some DISH 301, DISH 311, and
DISH 322 receivers.
b. Fit the IR head into the IR head clip, and route the IR extender
cable out through the clip’s slot.
8. Route the IR extender cable under the back of the receiver, to the
converter.
9. You can also use just the converter to send the signal through the
air to the receiver.

a. Make sure you put the converter no more than 20 feet away
from the receiver, and that the converter has a clear signal path
to the receiver.
b. Make sure the lens of the converter points toward the receiver’s
front panel.
10. Plug the power cord into a wall outlet.
11. Press any button on the remote control. A red light on the converter
turns on whenever it receives a signal from the remote control.
