Charging the appliance
The rechargeable batteries must be charged
before working with the appliance. Proceed
as follows to do this.
1.
Put the appliance on its back as shown
(Fig. 11/B).
2.
Insert the mains adapter into the charger
socket on the bottom of the appliance
(Fig. 11/A).
3.
Connect the mains adapter to a socket
that carries the same voltage as that indi-
cated on the mains adapter's type plate.
4.
Now let the batteries charge for about four
hours until the on/off button
emits a
continuous blue light. A short melody
sounds. The on/off button
shows the
charging progress as follows (Fig. 11/B):
- flashes red: appliance is charging
- continuous blue light: batteries are fully
charged.
5.
If a continuous blue light is coming from
the on/off button
, pull the power cord
out from the socket and then from the ap-
pliance (Fig. 11/A).
WARNING:
Danger of electric shock! Before you
charge the device, ensure that the appli-

NOTE:
Do not recharge the appliance again until a
continuous red light is emitted from the on/
off button
. Subsequent charging cycles
will take approx. 4 hours.
NOTE:
If your appliance has the optional quick
charging station (Fig. 12), we recommend
using this for charging. Charging then only
takes two hours.
To do this insert the mains adapter
(Fig. 2/1) into the charger socket of the
quick charging station (Fig. 2/11). The mid-
dle LED at the station emits a blue light
(Fig. 12).
When using the optional quick charging
station, ensure that you put the appliance
correctly onto the station: The LEDs at the
station and the appliance have to point to-
wards you as shown (Fig. 12).
