SBB LED Status Indicators

The hot-swap backplane monitors shelf status to identify error conditions or failures.  This status is displayed
on the SBB LEDs.  The left LED displays the device activity and the right LED displays the fault status.

♦

The left LED (green) is the device activity LED and is on or flashing when the SBB is active.

CAUTION

For non-RAID servers, removing a SBB when the  left LED is on or flashing can cause
the loss or corruption of data.

♦

For RAID servers, the right LED (amber) is the SBB fault LED and indicates an error condition when it
is either on or flashing.
