dasubs
— Substitutes a standby drive for an inoperable drive, Version 1.1
Syntax
dasubs -b bank -d disk diskarray
Description
When a drive is considered inoperable and a standby drive is available, the array
controller is directed to stop using the bad drive by running the
dasubs
command.
After
dasubs
is run,
darecon(8)
should be run to reconstruct the inoperable drive
onto the standby.
The current disabled/substituted (DSBL/SUBS) state of a bank can be determined
with the
dabstat(8)
command.
The argument
diskarray
is a character special file associated with the disk array
controller to which the command should be sent. The following options are
processed by
getopt(3)
and should precede
diskarray
.
Options
-b bank
Use this option to specify the bank that the bad drive is in; legal values for
bank
are 1–4.
-d disk
Use this option to specify the disk that the standby drive is to be substituted for;
legal values for
disk
are 1–9.
Restrictions
Root privileges are required to execute these commands.
