Hard Drive Replacement / Addition - Appendix #7
The System comes with a pre-installed Hard Drive, however the unit will work with a replacement
single Hard Drive (up to 500GB) and a second Hard Drive.
NOTE:
Make sure that the System is OFF and the power cable has been disconnected before
changing the Hard Drive. Remove the screws and slide off the DVR Case.
Replacing the Hard Drive
• Remove the Drive Bracket from the DVR by removing the 4
screws
• Remove the screws holding the Hard Drive into the Drive
Bracket.
• Remove the drive cables and drive from the Bracket.
• Set the Jumpers on the Hard Drive to MASTER. Refer to the
General Jumper Pin Setting on HDD Surface (generally
located on a sticker on the top of the drive).
NOTE: Use a Hard Drive Model with a power supply rated
UDMA66 or higher.
• Reconnect the Cables and secure the Drive to the Bracket. Screw the bracket into the case.
NOTE:
The system will automatically format the new drive when turned on.
