Viewing group configurations
To access the configuration of your device in aView:
1. Log into the aView management portal and use the search bar to filter devices by
MAC
address
.
Note
The device MAC address is on its bottom label.
2. Click the MAC address of your Digi 5400-RM device to bring up its
Details
page.
3. Select the MAC address of your Digi 5400-RM device and bring up its
Details
page.
4. Select
View Configuration
in the Configuration section.
5. Select the Edit pencil icon at the top right of the page to make changes.
The Digi 5400-RM device will automatically support configuration updates after the next daily sync
around 1AM UTC. To apply changes sooner than the next scheduled sync refer to the
section for details on how to send a remote command.
Use aView to upgrade firmware
1. Log into the aView management portal and use the search bar to filter devices by
MAC
address
.
Note
The device MAC address is on its bottom label.
2. Click the MAC address of your Digi 5400-RM device to bring up its
Details
page.
3. Click on the
Settings
tab, then select the
View Configuration
link in the
Configuration
section of the page.
4. Once viewing the configuration profile, select the Edit pencil icon at the top right of the page.
5. Select the appropriate firmware version from the Firmware drop-down list.
6. Click the
Update
button.
Use aView to define a custom APN
Note
If your Digi 5400-RM device is unable to sync with the management portal because the device
cannot establish a cellular connection without a custom APN, refer to
Use local configuration to define
To define a custom APN from within aView:
1. Log into the aView management portal and use the search bar to filter devices by
MAC
address
.
Note
The device MAC address is on its bottom label.
2. Click the MAC address of your Digi 5400-RM device to bring up its
Details
page.
3. Select
View Configuration
in the
Configuration
section of the page.
4. Once viewing the configuration profile, select the Edit pencil icon at the top right of the page.
