Data channels component
The fourth area of the method is the data channels section. Data Channels are the top-level
components that are trend plotted, displayed in real time, and saved to the data file. A data channel
can be as simple as a raw signal or something much more complex involving multiple signals and
calculations.
In the current example, several data channels already exist. They were created when the signal
components were saved
. To complete the normalized composition data for water, let’s create a new
data channel by right-clicking the Data Channel icon and selecting
“New channel” or by clicking the
“Add Channel” button in the toolbar. Name the new data channel “Water (Normalized%) and click
Edit Formula.
