2.5.6 Universal Serial Bus Ports

USB 5-6

The system board supports 8 USB 2.0/1.1 ports. Four onboard
USB por ts (Black) are at locations CN6 (USB 1-2) and CN7
(USB 3-4) of the system board.

J4 (USB 5-6) and J5 (USB 7-8) connectors allow you to connect
4 additional USB ports. Your USB ports may come mounted on a
card-edge bracket. Install the card-edge bracket to the system
chassis then inser t the connector that is attached to the USB
por t cables to J4 or J5.

BIOS Setting

Configure the USB ports in the Integrated Peripherals submenu
(“VIA OnChip PCI Device” section) of the BIOS. Refer to chapter
3 for more information.
