This screen means the receiver and transmitter
are not communicating and you are not getting
sensor glucose readings.
• The receiver and transmitter only
communicate when you are in an active
sensor session.
• Each time you start a new sensor session,
wait 10 minutes for the receiver and
transmitter to start communicating.
• You may sometimes experience loss of communication for 10
minutes at a time. This is normal.
• If you see the out of range symbol in the status area for more than
10 minutes, move the receiver and transmitter within 20 feet of each
other without obstruction. Wait 10 minutes and communication
should be restored.
• You must enter the transmitter ID correctly into the receiver to
receive sensor glucose readings (see Chapter 5, Section 5.2,
The Settings Menu). Make sure you have removed the sensor
and stopped the sensor session before checking or changing the
transmitter ID. “Transmitter ID” will not appear as an option on the
Settings menu during a sensor session.
• The out of range alert is an advanced feature
that can be turned on when appropriate.
If this advanced feature is turned on, it will
alert when the receiver and transmitter are
not communicating for a set amount of time
depending on the profile settings.
