Safety advice
The following advice is provided for your safety and satis-
faction when operating the CA 616 compact alarm system.
Please be aware that if you do not observe this safety advice
it can lead to considerable risk of accident.

Danger!
• Do not leave small children unattended with the pack-
aging material! Otherwise there is the danger of danger
to life by suffocation!
• Do not leave small children unattended with the device!

• Do not use the device in the presence of sick or infirm
people or animals!
The shock that may follow from the loud siren noise
may represent a risk to life and limb!
• When you install the device make sure that you do not
damage any cables or pipes carrying gas, electricity,
water or telecommunications!

property!
• Avoid skin or bodily contact with exhausted or damaged
batteries! Wear suitable protective gloves and clothing!
Otherwise there is a risk to life and limb from corrosive
substances!
• Do not place the device near fire, heat, or subject it to
prolonged temperatures of over 0 °C! Otherwise there
is a risk to life from explosion!
• Do not short-circuit or attempt to recharge these batteries!
Otherwise there is a risk to life from explosion!
• Do not allow your hearing to be exposed to the loud siren
noise for a prolonged period! Make sure that the siren is
not triggered when someone is in its direct vicinity!
Otherwise there is a risk of severe hearing damage!
• Install the compact alarm system only if you are wearing
ear protection and make sure that no one, in particular
children, is in vicinity of the device! Otherwise there is
a risk of severe hearing damage!
• Handle the cable carefully! Place the cable in such a
position that it cannot be damaged or become a trip
hazard. Otherwise there is a risk to life and limb!
• Keep pets away from the compact alarm system! The
loud noise from the siren can result in severe hearing
damage. It may also cause them to panic and flee the
area! Otherwise there is a risk to life and limb of the pets!

Attention!
• Use batteries 1. V type LR6 (mignon / AA, alkaline)
(not included)!
• Check for correct polarity when you insert the batteries.
• Remove the batteries if you intend to leave the device
unused for an extended period.
• Always use new batteries and never use partially dis-
charged batteries.
• Do not allow any objects to cover the compact alarm
system! Otherwise the device may not work properly.
• Do not allow the compact alarm system to come into
contact with moisture!
• Protect the compact alarm system from magnetic or electric
fields and from strong mechanical blows and vibrations!
• Use only the supplied original parts or parts that are
compatible with the device!
• Check before bringing the device into use that all the
components have been assembled in accordance with
the operating instructions!
• Before assembling and bringing the device into use
check the supplied items for damage and complete-
ness! Never use the device if it is damaged. In these
circumstances you should contact the service centre
