Troubleshooting
The medical device heats up and gets excessively hot when running without a load:
Check and ensure the amount of cooling air coming from motor meets specification as described in the
installation section on Page 12.
The handpiece light is off:
Check if the Handpiece Light control has been turned off
– Refer to Page 15 in Setup Mode or Page 20 in
Preparation Mode for turning on the handpiece light.
Error Code
“ERR 10” - Phase interrupted:
Check the motor hose connection to the control unit and ensure it is securely connected. Reset the system
by powering the unit OFF/ON by disconnecting/re-connecting the power supply on the back of the unit.
Error Code “ERR 10” - Motor not connected correctly:
Check and ensure the motor assembly is connected correctly to the motor hose per the installation
instructions on Page 12. Reset the system by powering the unit OFF/ON by disconnecting/re-connecting the
power supply on the back of the unit.
Error Code “ERR 82” - Position sensor not connected:
Check and ensure the motor hose is connected correctly to the control unit per the installation instructions on
Page 12. Reset the system by powering the unit OFF/ON by disconnecting/re-connecting the power supply on
the back of the unit.
Error Code “ERR 84” - Phase short circuit
Check for any damage on the tubing or motor assembly. Contact DENTSPLY Service Center on Page 32 if
any damage found. Reset the system by powering the unit OFF/ON by disconnecting/re-connecting the power
supply on the back of the unit.
Incorrect motor speed and/or attachments during use:
Check to ensure the handpiece attachment connected matches the “Gear Ratio” specified on the User
Interface.
Check to ensure the pressure into the Control Unit complies with the installation instructions and Technical
Specifications table on Pages 29 and 30.
NOTE:
Resetting the system by powering it OFF/ON will not erase any settings set by the user. All user specified
memory settings will still be saved.
If necessary, insert a filter, water trap or air dryer to meet air requirements - see also: Chapter 12 Specifications.
