Cleaning
The motor and attachments MUST be cleaned and sterilized after each patient use
(refer to the Midwest
®
E Motor and Handpiece Attachment
Operator’s Manual for specific details).
Clean the system (which includes the Control Unit, Hoses, and Motor Housing) with a clean, damp cloth
using 60-70% isopropyl alcohol and water solution.
NOTES:
Do not exert any pressure on the LCD screen.
Do not use products containing acetone, chlorine or bleach as disinfecting agents on the Control Unit.
Never immerse the Control Unit in solvent.
The device is not suitable for cleaning in an ultrasonic bath.
CAUTION:
Disinfectants containing phenol 3 may discolor the plastic housings and are not recommended
for use on the Midwest
®
E System.
Maintenance
WARNING:
Repair and maintenance work on the Midwest
®
E Electric Handpiece System
must only be performed by
authorized DENTSPLY personnel.
DO NOT OPEN THE CONTROL BOX.
There are no serviceable parts inside the control box.
