Safety rules for carbon dioxide (CO
2
) cylinders
• Use only to supply CO
2
to aquaria.
• CO
2
cylinders are highly pressurized. Therefore, do not throw CO
2
cylinders. Store in a cool place. Protect from sun and temperatures above
50°C.
• CO
2
supply only in conjunction with suitable pressure reducers for reusable DENNERLE CO
2
cylinders with connection thread W21.8 x
1/14”.
• Refill only at authorised CO
2
filling stations. Please note: Tare weight without valve and valve protection cage. Remove cage before re-
filling.
• Cylinders must always be in an upright position when supplying CO
2
. Secure cylinders to prevent them from falling over.
• Do not open CO
2
cylinders by force.
• CO
2
gas is heavier than air and has a suffocating effect in high concentrations. Avoid breathing in CO
2
gas. Keep out of reach of children.
• Store CO
2
cylinders in well ventilated areas and not in cellars.
• Please note the following when transporting individual cylinders in vehicles: Secure to prevent from sliding and rolling around, as the valve
may otherwise incur damage and CO
2
gas may escape. Ensure adequate ventilation.

2 Set-up and connection
2.1 Connect the pressure reducer
•
For Reusable 300: Place CO
2
cylinder in stand.
•
Turn setting knob on the pressure reducer as far as it will go in di-
rection “- ” (CO
2
supply shut off).
•
Connect pressure reducer to CO
2
cylinder. Ensure that the washer
is fitted correctly and that the sealing surfaces are clean! Tighten
coupling ring finger-tight with 27mm spanner.

2.2 Fitting the check valve
•
Cut a piece of approx. 10 cm in length from the CO
2
hose, en-
suring that the cut is straight.
•
Connect the short hose to the entrance of the check valve, and the
