Quick Start Guide
Note
Please not

that the scanner will only work on OBD2 cars. If you are unsure if your car is OBD2
compliant, please refer to your car manual or contact your car manufacturer.
Usage
1. Download an OBD2 Scanner app for your smartphone such as Torque or OBD Car Doctor.
2. Ensure you car is turned off and the key is not in the ignition.
3. Plug the Car Diagnostic Scanner into your cars OBD2 socket (please refer to your car
manual or ask your mechanic for advice on where the socket is)
4. Insert your car key and turn it so that the battery powers up, but the engine has not been
started.
5. Once the OBD2 lights start flashing, turn your car on. (This can take up to 10 seconds).
6. Connect your smartphone to the scanner (either via Bluetooth or Wifi, depending on the
model of scanner you are using), and run the app.

Diagnostics
Depending on the application you have installed and what particular sensors are installed in your
car, you should be able to access the following diagnostics from your car (in no particular order)

Engine RPM
•
Coolant Temperatures
•
Speed
•
Fuel Trim
•
Intake Manifold Pressure
•
Engine Timing
•
Intake Air Temperature
•
Throttle Position
•
Fuel Pressure
•
Engine Error Codes
Important
Please note that this unit does not fix any issues.
Please also note that clearing engine codes will only remove the warning, and should only be
done after the issue that caused the error code has been fixed. Clearing codes before properly
resolving issues may result in permanent damage to your car.
