Removing the System Fan  

 

 

1.

Follow the instructions in 

Before You Begin

.  

 

 

  

2.

Remove the palm rest(see 

Removing the Palm Rest

).  

 

 

  

3.

Disconnect the fan cable from the system board connector.  
 

 

  

4.

Remove the two screws securing the system fan to the computer cover.  
 

 

  

5.

Lift the system fan out.  
 

  

 

Replacing the System Fan  

 

 

 

 

1.

Place the system fan in positon on the computer cover.  
 

 

  

2.

Replace and tighten the two screws.  
 

 

  

3.

Connect the fan cable to the system board connector.  
 

 

  

4.

Follow the instructions in 

Replacing the Palm Rest
