Place the palm rest on a flat surface.
Post-requisites
1 Replace the system board .
2 Replace the speakers .
3 Replace the power and volume-buttons board .
4 Replace the power-adapter port .
5 Replace the keyboard .
6 Replace the I/O board .
7 Replace the heat sink .
8 Replace the graphics daughter-board .
9 Replace the display assembly .
10 Replace the touch pad .
11 Replace the status-light board .
12 Replace the fan .
13 Replace the wireless card .
14 Follow the procedure from step 4 to step 6 in “ Replacing the hard drive ”.
15 Replace the solid-state drive .
16 Replace the coin-cell battery .
17 Replace the memory modules .
18 Replace the battery .
