Test voltage output sockets serve the purpose of connecting a device under test (see pages 22
to 28) or test adapter, e.g.
PA BXT test adapter (see also pages 9 to 16),
PA DRL test adapter (see also pages 17 to 21), whereas the polarity of the test voltage has to
be considered for evaluation of the test result, if necessary.
Test button
Testing is started by means of briefly pressing the Test button. This involves that the test voltage
rises at 1000 V/s until the device under test responds, i.e. the integrated test current monitoring
system evaluates the response behaviour, stores the test result and finishes the test automatically.
Measured value indication in [V]
During testing, the value of the test voltage at the test voltage output sockets is displayed. After
the test has been completed, this value is stored as test result until a new test is started or the
PM 20 tester is switched off. The low battery message is also displayed at the indicator.
