Please note the disposal guidelines for used batteries and accumulators.

The input to the external supply is protected against polarity reversal. However, the polarity of the

connection has to be observed in order to ensure proper operation of the PM20 tester (see Test

set-up).

If it can be assumed that

safe operation

is not possible anymore, the device has to be switched

off and protected against unintended use. This may be the case

- If visual defects are detected

- If the device does not function properly anymore

- If the device has been stored for a longer period of time and under inappropriate conditions

- If the device was submitted to stress during transport

The device is subject to the EC directive 2002/96/EC concerning waste electrical and

electronic equipment (WEEE), i.e. the device has to be recycled after use according

to stipulations by law.
