Antenna input
Antenna connector is of type SMA female. You can use any antenna with antenna
connector of type SMA male.
Backup battery
It is possible to insert a battery into the product so that it can be operational at the
event of a power outage. The battery hatch is opened by sliding the battery hatch
downward in the specified direction. The battery hatch opens by itself when it is
released, as it is spring loaded.
If the battery is not installed, the product will operate normally but will not be able to
alert any power outages.
The battery has an estimated life of 2-3 years and can be replaced by the customer. It
is very important that the original DEFA battery is used. Use of non-original batteries
may damage the product, and any damage will not be covered by warranty.
When the product is installed and the signal indicator indicates medium coverage or
better, the communication and installation test can be performed. The test must be
conducted to verify that the remote control of the product works as well as the relays
turn as they are supposed to. Remember that you, the installer, are responsible for
ensuring that the facility is connected according to customer requirements. You must
also verify this after the test is done.
This test is done through the web portal when you attach the unit to the customer,
ust follow the steps that are presented and the normal registration procedure will be
conducted and implemented.
