BEFORE INSTALLING (IMPORTANT!)
Product activation
Base Unit PRO needs to be activated before the product can be used. As long as the
product is not activated there will be no possibility to test communication with the DEFA
servers, and you will not be able to use the remote control functionality.
To activate the product the customer needs to register an account. This must be done
by the customer or the installer via link.mydefa.com
After the customer is registered an email and/or SMS will be sent to the customer. To
proceed, the customer needs to confirm that the registered information is correct.
When this is done the product can be activated. This is done by logging in to link.
mydefa.com with your installer user name and password.
1. Log on with your installer user name and password.
2. Choose “Register unit on customer” in the menu.
3. Find the customer by entering the customers email address or mobile phone
number. The information entered must be the same information that the
customer is registered with.
4. When the customer is found, enter the unit serial number and proceed.
5. Entern an alias for the system. The alias shall describe the systems address,
name of place or name of building. This is possible for the customer to
change after the registration is completed.
