GENERAL
Use the ONE U RACK MOUNT to install
Dataton units in a standard 19 inch rack.
The mount handles two SMARTPAX QC-
sized units, plus power supply. It is also
ideal for use with KEYLINK units. Four
KEYLINK units, one SMARTPAX QC and
one 12V DC ADAPTOR fi t perfectly into
the rack mount.
The ONE U RACK MOUNT is delivered
pre-assembled. The top cover and base
are removed with a torx. Use the
enclosed nuts and original screws to con-
ceal the holes left by the three posts.
The smoked glass front lets the user see
the indicator lights on the Dataton units,
while protecting the units from any casual
prodding.
Running along the base plate is a 35 mm
DIN rail to facilitate installation.
USAGE
Remove the smoked glass front (if
attached) before inserting your Dataton
units in the ONE U RACK MOUNT.
You may also need to remove the top
cover and posts, eg, if you want to insert
a 12V DC ADAPTOR as shown in the
illustrations.
KEYLINK units are
mounted with the keys
towards the back;
other Dataton units are
mounted with the con-
trol dials facing for-
wards.
Line up the units with
the clips in the rack.
To insert a unit: gently,
but fi rmly, push it back-
ward at a slight down-
ward angle. Push until
the clips grip the edge
of the unit, thereby
holding it in place.
To remove a unit from
the rack mount: push
the unit backward until
the front clips release
their hold. Depress the
sprung clips and pull
the unit out.
Connect power and control cables.
Slot the ONE U RACK MOUNT into a 19
inch rack and secure it.
When you are satisfi ed that the installed
units are working correctly, screw the
smoked glass front into place.
