The
CONTROLLER STATUS
LED is green when S2A9550 is operating normally. It
turns amber when shutting down.
The
DISK STATUS
LED is green when disk enclosure is operating normally and it turns
amber when there is a problem.
The
AC STATUS
LED is green indicating normal operating status (if all power supplies
indicate Power Good). If two (2) supplies from the same AC cord both indicate power
bad, the AC has failed and LED glows red. (Note: Check LEDs on front of unit.)
The
DC STATUS
LED is green indicating normal operating status. It glows amber if
there is a non-critical power Supply DC fault; (that is, one of the supplies is not installed
or is not indicating Power Good). It glows red if an On-board supply fails or if there is a
critical supply fault. (Note: Check LEDs on front of unit.)
The
FAN STATUS
LED is green when fans are operating normally. A blinking LED
indicates system monitoring activity such that the monitoring is being updated. It glows
amber if one of the two fans in the fan module fails. It glows red if both fans fail or if the
fan module is removed.
1.2.3
Host and Disk Connectivity
The S2A9550 includes four (4) 4 Gb/s full duplex Fibre Channel host ports. The host ports
are hard-wired for non-OFC optical connections utilizing SFP (Small Form-factor
Pluggable) connectors.
The disk ports utilize ten standard copper SFP connectors.
1.2.4
Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)
The use of a UPS with the S2A9550 is highly recommended to guarantee power to the
system in the event of a power failure. DataDirect Networks offers two types of UPS:
Basic and Redundant. The basic UPS (UPS-SDD) is rack-mountable. It can maintain
power to a 5-enclosure system for 7 minutes while the system safely shuts down during
a power failure. The redundant UPS (UPS-SDDHA) contains redundant power cells,
providing a redundant UPS solution for the system.
The UPS should be installed by a licensed electrician. Please contact DataDirect
Networks to obtain circuit and power requirements.
