Print Ribbon
ribbon
kits
are
available
from
your
dealer.
Kits
include
a
ribbon,
a
cleaning
card,
and
a
replaceable
cleaning
sleeve.
For
best
results,
run
a
cleaning
card
and
replace
the
cleaning
sleeve
with
each
new
ribbon.
Color Print Ribbon
Color
ribbon
is
available
in
either
full
‐
panel
or
short
‐
panel
options.
Both
full
‐
panel
and
short
‐
panel
ribbons
use
the
following
color
panels:
Y
(yellow),
M (magenta),
C
(cyan/blue),
K
(black),
and
T
(topcoat).
Ribbons
with
an
ultraviolet
fluorescent
(F)
panel
provide
an
additional
security
feature.
Full-Panel Color Print Ribbon
Use
full
‐
panel
ribbon
when
the
card
design
calls
for
color
printing
on
the
entire
card.
Full
‐
panel
color
ribbon
with
an
ultraviolet
(UV)
fluorescent
panel,
YMCKFT,
also
is
available.
Short-Panel Color Print Ribbon
Use
short
‐
panel
ribbon
when
only
a
portion
of
the
card
design
calls
for
color.
For
example,
a
card
design
may
have
a
color
photo
on
the
top
or
left
of
the
card,
and
black
text
on
the
bottom
of
the
card.
The
color
area
for
short
‐
panel
ribbon
is
either
1.57
inches
(40
mm)
or
1.47
inches
(37.5
mm),
depending
on
the
ribbon
configuration.
The
ymc
panels
of
short
‐
panel
ribbon
are
approximately
half
the
length
of
a
full
card.
When
you
with
short
‐
panel
ribbon,
you
define
the
location
of
the
color
area
in
the
card
design.
Color
printing
begins
when
the
Card
Printer
Driver
detects
a
color
pixel
and
continues
for
the
length
of
the
ymc
panels.
The
color
and
monochrome
ribbons
that
are
supported
are
determined
by
the
printer
model
and
its
options.
Some
ribbons
may
not
be
available
for
all
printers.
Contact
your
dealer
for
complete
information
when
ordering
ribbons
for
your
printer.
If
your
printer
requires
supplies
with
a
region
code,
refer
to
the
printer
LCD
panel
to
see
the
correct
region
code
for
your
printer.
The
ribbon
panel
configuration
that
supports
YMCKFT
functionality
can
differ
depending
on
your
printer
model.
