Incoming
Internet Access
To access the 541 from the Internet, the unit must be assigned
a static IP address. If your router makes DHCP assignments for
other equipment on the network, simply assign a static IP that
is outside the router’s DHCP range. This should be an easy
matter with the aid of the router’s Help utility.
You also need to open a specific port for the 541 on the net-
work router. Within the router’s Port Forwarding utility you
will be able to enter your static IP address for the unit (Internal
IP), followed by a colon and a port number. The port number
may be any number in the router’s range.
If your Internet Service
Provider (ISP) assigns
you a static IP address,
then it is a simple mat-
ter to address the 541
from anywhere. Just
type the IP address
and port number into
your browser as pic-
tured here.
But if your ISP issues a
dynamic IP, which is more often the
case, this mandates ‘Dynamic DNS’ operation, using the ser-
vices of an IP-forwarding provider. This is an operation you
should entrust to your IT department. Further explanations

AND AoIP STREAMING
The term Dante® refers to networking technology developed by
the Australian firm, Audinate Pty. Ltd. It enables simple con-
nection with other Dante-equipped devices, and gives AES67
AoIP (Audio over Internet Protocol) compliance and interopera-
bility among a wide range of pro-AV products. It is generally
also compatible with proprietary systems from independent
manufacturers of AoIP-enabled products.
IP Settings
The Dante-based AoIP utility of the 541 is quite similar to the
product’s general networking function. Like the LAN connec-
