Controls Installation
Control Wiring Guidelines
To ensure proper control wiring techniques, the
following guidelines must be adhered to:
1. The ground reference of the external circuit
connected to the CIM must be at the same
potential as the ground reference on the CIM.
2. The interlock circuit must be voltage-free,
i.e., all external contactors/switches must not
introduce current into the circuit.
3. All interlock and analog output cables must be
shielded with one end of the shield connected to the
CIM ground. The other end of the shield cannot
be grounded as this would create a ground loop.
Table 25 displays the available jumpers and their
default positions.

Incorrect wiring of the terminals can severely damage the module and other components.
