IntraFlow (IFV)
This section provides a brief overview of the
Compressor Module.
The Compressor Module is comprised of
two portions:
•
Aerodynamics
- the aerodynamics portion
manages the compression of refrigerant
through the compressor from suction
to discharge comprising centrifugal and
IntraFlow
TM
technologies.
•
Motor
- The motor portion contains a direct-
drive, high-efficiency, permanent-magnet
synchronous motor powered by pulse-width-
modulating (PWM) voltage supply. The high-
speed variable-frequency operation that affords
high-speed efficiency, compactness and soft
start capability. Motor cooling is by liquid
refrigerant injection.
Compressor Module
• Oil free, magnetic bearing, variable speed,
two-stage centrifugal compressors with
economizer option
• Nominal capacity ranges from 200 to 350 tons
• Voltage applications between 380 and 575 Volts
• Water-cooled or equivalent evaporative cooled
chiller applications
• ETL certified
• HFC-134a refrigerant
The VTT compressor, motor and power
assemblies are modular in design.
