8.6 Troubleshooting: Using the Diagnostics

Tab

Communications and Verify Parameters

To quickly verify serial communications, check the Diagnostics tab.
Communication is working properly if the camera settings are properly
displayed in the

Camera Settings

section.

Verify Voltage

To check the camera’s input voltage, refer to the

Temperature/Voltage

section on

the

Diagnostics

tab. If it is within the proper range, the camera returns OK> and

the voltage value. Otherwise the camera returns an error message.

Verify Temperature

To check the internal temperature of the camera, refer to the

Temperature/Voltage

section on the

Diagnostics

tab. The camera will shut itself

down if the internal temperature exceeds 75°C.

Verify Signal Frequency

To verify the signal frequency, refer to the

Signal Frequency

section on the

Diagnostics

tab. Use the drop down list to select the control signal and review

the signal frequency. The control signals available for measuring are: CC1
(EXSYNC), CC2 (PRIN), CC3 (CCD Direction), and CC4 (Spare).
