Time
Time
sets the time zone for the processor,
synchronizes the time, and configures the
Network Time Protocol (NTP) servers.
Use the
Time Zone
drop-down menu to pick
the correct time zone for the display. The
correct time zone is necessary for accurate
astronomical brightness control and system log
time stamps. The default time zone is
(UTC-06:00) Central Time (US & Canada)
. Refer
.
Click the
Synchronize
button to synchronize the display’s clock with the laptop’s internal
clock.
Network Time Protocol (NTP) servers synchronize
the controller’s clock with the selected time
server. This setting is the default clock source
and runs in the background to automatically
maintain a precise time. The controller’s
network settings must be correct and the
operator must have access to the time server
for this function to operate.
Set the NTP state as
Active
or
Inactive
. If the
state is
Active
, two default addresses are used
for synchronizing the time. Refer to
•
The first address is the primary NTP server. The default address is
0.daktronics.pool.ntp.org
.
• The second address is the secondary NTP server. The default address is
1.daktronics.pool.ntp.org
.
These default addresses may be changed and additional NTP servers can be added by
clicking the
Add Server
button.
Services
Services
configures the processor to communicate with other related software programs.
The
Management Port
number is appended to the IP address or host name to connect to
the user interface. The
Management Port
is usually
85
but may be
80
. Choose the desired
client program from the drop-down menu. Refer to
