3. Making the final adjustments

Adjust the horizontal & vertical angles and verify the best level of alignment by viewing the test point voltage with a multimeter and
the status of the alarm LED.

ATTENTION: assure precise adjustment with a voltmeter.

Adjust precisely using a voltmeter:

Make a precise adjustment using a voltmeter

to

maximise the output voltage until reaching a level
beyond “Good”.
According to the measured voltage the IR beam is
more or less aligned.

A. 

Select the multimeter to measure a voltage in the
order of 5 volts

B. 

Connect the multimeter probes to the test points 
on the infra red Receiver and adjust the alignment to
achieve the results shown in the table above.
