6.4.1
Replacing the inflow temperature sensor /
return flow temperature sensor and
pressure sensor
DANGER: RISK OF BURNING
There is a danger of scalding from heating water.
Sensors are connected directly to the pressurised heating
water.
▪ Before removal of the sensors, close the ball cocks on
the boiler inflow and boiler return flow, and depressurise
the system with the KFE cock.

Replacing temperature sensors

Remove the boiler cladding (see
Chap. 4.10
).

Remove the connector bracket.

Remove the plug from the sensor/sensor to be replaced.

Pull the sensor to be replaced out of the sensor thermowell. Re-
move the O-ring.

Insert a new sensor (check that the O-ring is seated correctly)
and secure with a connector bracket. Insert the cable with plug.

The connectors are shape-coded. Do not force the con-
nector!

Changing the flue gas temperature sensor

Unscrew the flue gas temperature sensor

Remove the boiler cladding (see
Chap. 4.10
). Release the plug
connection on the sensor cable.

Open the boiler control panel (see
Chap. 4.7.1
).

Disconnect the plug of the flue temperature sensor from circuit
board J8 and disconnect the sensor cable.

Unscrew the sensor sleeve from the flue gas duct using an SW
24 wrench (
Fig. 6-5
). The flue gas temperature sensor can only
be completely changed with the sleeve.

Screw the new sensor sleeve into the flue gas duct and tighten it
carefully using the SW 24 wrench (plastic thread!).

Route the sensor cable into the boiler control panel, connect the
cable to the 6-pole PCB connector and plug it back onto the cir-
cuit board.

Ensure the strain relief of the cable (
Fig. 4-11
).
6.5
Replacing the fuse or circuit board
DANGER: RISK OF ELECTROCUTION
Touching live parts can result in an
electric shock
and
lead to potentially fatal injuries and burns.
▪ Before beginning work on live parts, disconnect them
from the power supply
(switch off external main switch,
remove fuse) and secure against unintentional restart.

To replace the circuit board, remove all connector plugs.

Changing the fuse

Electrostatic charges can lead to voltage arcing that can
destroy the electronic components.
▪ Ensure potential equalisation prior to touching the con-
trol panel PCB (e.g. by touching the control panel
holder).

Change the fuse (

Install the RoCon BE2 circuit board in the housing.

Connect all connector plugs to the circuit board.
