4.2 REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, HEATING UNIT

Removing the heating unit

1.

Partially drain the coolant.

2.

Remove the air conditioning liquid, if
applicable.

Note:

The air conditioning system may only be
opened and filled by a specialist.
Furthermore, many countries require official
certification to carry out such activities.

3.

Remove the dashboard panels on
co-driver’s side and from the central
console.

4.

Remove the ashtray and the ashtray holder

5.

Remove the radio panel.

6.

Remove the air ducts on driver’s side.

7.

Remove the connector from the central
console control panel.

8.

Remove the central console control panel.

9.

Unscrew the instrument panel until the
attachment screws on the inside can be
removed.

10. Remove the attachment screws at the top

and front of the central console, allowing the
panel to be lifted slightly.
