Format

Parameters

user

- Specify the user name.

<username 15>

- Enter the user name used here. This name can be up to 15 characters long.

authomode

- Specify authentication mode.

hostbased

- Specify user authentication method.

hostname

- Specify host domain name.

<domain_name 32>

- Enter the domain name here. This name can be up to 32

characters long.

hostname_IP

- Specify host domain name and IP address.

<domain_name 32>

- Specify host name if configuring Host-based method.

<ipaddr>

- Specify host IP address if configuring Host-based method.

<ipv6addr>

- Specify host IPv6 address if configuring Host-based method.

password

- Specify user authentication method.

publickey

- Specify user authentication method.

Restrictions

Only Administrator-level users can issue this command.

Example

To update user “test” authentication method:
