This tab provides management functions for the surveillance system and it contains the
following configurations:
Recording Schedule, Event Settings, Display Settings, and
Recording Backup .
Recording Schedule
The Recording Schedule tab allows you to schedule automatic recording based on frequency
and event type.
Before scheduling a recording, configure the global Recording Configuration by clicking
.
Recording Settings
Enable Audio Recording:
Enable or disable audio recording to have sound in video clips. The
default is disabled.
Enable Automatic Overwrite: Enable this function to overwrite old recordings and save
storage space. Enter the number of days for maximum recording retention (range: 1-99). The
default is disabled.
Event Settings: For event recording, the system can record in advance before the actual
event triggers the recording function (Pre-Record) as well as record after the event takes
place (Post-Record). Enter the time (range: 0-10 seconds) for both Pre-Record (default: 0
second) and Post-Record time (default: 10 seconds). They are useful when you want to
record the activities preceding or following an event that triggers recording.
