NOTE:
If any ports within the trunk group become disconnected, packets intended for the disconnected
port will be load shared among the other linked ports of the link aggregation group.
This window is used to display and configure the link aggregation settings. To view the following window, click
L2
Features > Link Aggregation
, as shown below:

The fields that can be configured for
Link Aggregation
are described below:
Parameter
Description
System Priority
Enter the system’s priority value used here. This value must be between
1
and
65535
. By default, this value is
32768
. The system priority determines which ports
can join a port-channel and which ports are put in the stand-alone mode. The
lower value has a higher priority. If two or more ports have the same priority, the
port number determines the priority
Load Balance Algorithm
Select the load balancing algorithm that will be used here. Options to choose from
are
Source MAC

Destination IP

Source L4 Port

Channel Group Information
are described below:
Parameter

Unit
Select the Switch unit that will be used for this configuration here.
From Port ~ To Port
Select the list of ports that will be associated with this configuration here.
Group ID
Enter the channel group number here. This value must be between
1
and
32
. The
system will automatically create the port-channel when a physical port first joins a
channel group. An interface can only join one channel-group.
Mode
Select the mode option here. Options to choose from are
On
,
Active
, and
Passive
. If the mode
On
is specified, the channel group type is static. If the mode
Active
or
Passive
is specified, the channel group type is LACP. A channel group
can only consist of either static members or LACP members. Once the type of
channel group has been determined, other types of interfaces cannot join the
channel group.
Click the
Add
button to add a new channel group.
Click the
Delete Member Port
button, to delete the member port(s) specified from the group.
