Configurations for Best Performance
To get the best performance out of your DivX Connected™ experience, plan your network carefully. In
general, the more direct the connections, the better the performance.
Note:
The performance of wireless network equipment can be adversely affected by cordless
phones, microwave ovens, garage door openers or other wireless devices.
Recommended Network Setup
The best performance and easiest setup can be achieved using a wired network configuration:
•
Wired connection from the DivX Connected device to the DivX Connected Server PC through a
network router or a direct connection.
•
Wired Ethernet connections from the network router to the DivX Connected Server PC.
Other Possible Setups
If your connections cannot be set up as described above in
Recommended Network Configuration
,
the next best setup is:
•
Wireless connection from the DivX Connected device to the network router.
•
Wired Ethernet connections from the network router to the DivX Connected Server PC(s).
OR
•
Wired Ethernet connection from the DivX Connected device to the network router.
•
Wireless connection from the network router to the DivX Connected Server PC(s).
