NOTE:
If there is a Box ID conflict when the stack is in the discovery phase, the device
will enter a special standalone topology mode. Users can only get device information,
configure Box IDs, save and reboot. All stacking ports will be disabled and an error
message will be produced on the local console port of each device in the stack. Users
must reconfigure Box IDs and reboot the stack.
Stacking Mode Settings
This window is to enable the switch stack (up to 8) and configure the priority of the stacking boxes.
To open this window, click
Configuration > Stacking Mode Settings

The following parameters can be configured:
Parameter Description
Stacking Mode
Click Enabled or Disabled to enable or disable the stacking function.
Current Box ID
Use the dorp-down menu to identify the Switch being configured. The box ID is 1 – 8.
New Box ID
Use the drop-down menu to assign a new box ID to the Switch. The new box ID is Auto , or
1 – 8.
Priority (1-63)
Enter a number to assign a priority value to the box, with lower numbers having higher
priority. The possible priority range is 1 – 63.
Time Range Settings
The Time Range window is used in conjunction with the Access Profile feature to determine a starting point and an
ending point, based on days of the week, when an Access Profile configuration will be enabled on the Switch. Once
configured here, the time range settings are to be applied to an access profile rule using the Access Profile table. The
user may enter up to 64 time range entries on the Switch.
