Purpose

Used to enable IGMP snooping on the
switch.

Syntax

enable igmp_snooping {forward-

mcrouter-only}

Description

This command allows you to enable IGMP
snooping on the switch. If forward-
mcrouter-only

is specified, the switch will

forward all multicast traffic to the multicast
router, only. Otherwise, the switch
forwards all multicast traffic to any IP
router.

Parameters

forward-mcrouter-only

−

Specifies that the

switch should forward all multicast traffic
to a multicast-enabled router only.

Otherwise, the switch will forward all
multicast traffic to any IP router.

Restrictions

Only administrator-level users can issue
this command.

Example Usage:

To enable IGMP snooping on the switch:
