Administrator
Password:
Enter the password you want to use into the
“Password
Change”
field and re-enter it into the
“Password Confirm”
field for confirmation. Be sure that the password is less than
64 characters long and without any special characters or
spaces..
SNMP Function:
As with the Password, SNMP community allows
authorized
persons to access this router through the SNMP Management
tool. The Wireless Router provides three fields to enter these
communities. The default words
Public
and
Private
are
well-known communities that allow authorized persons who
know the IP Address of this router to access the read-only
information about this router or have the authority to change
the configuration. Also, the administrator can define any
specific community and configure its limits as Read-Only or
Read-Write from the right side drop-down box.
WAN MAC Change:
The WAN MAC address can be changed from the original
values if necessary. Some ISPs require users to change the
WAN MAC address to a registered one when users change
their access equipment.
External Admin.:
Check
“Enable”
to allow you to configure the
High-Performance Wireless Router from the WAN side. To
access the setting page from the external side, enter
“
http://<WAN IP Address>:8080”
into the web browser
address bar and press the “
Enter”
key.
MTU:
Check
Enable
if you want to set a maximum limitation for
incoming and outgoing packet size. Enter the maximum
packet size you wish to set in the
“Size”
column.
Block WAN Request:
To prevent
hacker intruding your network, check the
Enable
option to enable this function to reject all the unauthorized
requests from WAN side.
IPSec Pass Through:
Check the
Enable
to allow the IPSec packets to pass through
the Wireless Router if there is LAN PC using IPSec for data
communication with other Internet device.
PPTP Pass Through:
Check the
Enable
to allow the PPTP packets to pass through
the Wireless Router if there is LAN PC using PPTP for data
communication with other Internet device.
PPPoE Pass Through:
Check the
Enable
to allow the PPPoE packets to pass
through the Wireless Router if there is LAN PC using PPPoE
for data communication with other Internet device.
Remote Upgrade:
Check
Enable
if you want to allow the authorized remote
users to upgrade firmware from WAN side.
