4.5 Configuring Redundancy
4.5.1 Optical Port Redundancy Setup
There is no need to configure optical port redundancy. Simply slide in two MS-DM-155 cards and two STM-1 cards.
Then, optical ports become redundant.
4.5.2 E1 Redundancy Setup
Configurations as follows:
admin@iSAP5100(cross) standby-port-set src-slot 1 src-port 15 dec-slot 1 dec-port 16
e1 slot-1 port-15 and slot-1 port-16 standby success
admin@iSAP5100(cross)
The above configuration can set the 16E1 card’s port 16 in Slot 1 to the standby (redundant) port of the port 15.
4.6 SNMP Management
4.6.1 SNMP Setup
Configurations as follows:
admin@iSAP5100(config) interface snmp
admin@iSAP5100(snmp) snmp
snmp snmp-server
4.6.2 IP Address Setup
Configurations as follows:
admin@iSAP5100(snmp) ipconfig 192.168.160.230 255.255.255.0 192.168.160.1
Note: IP address format is as follows: ipconfig <ip address> <netmask> <gateway>
4.6.3 SNMP Server IP Address Setup
Configurations as follows:
admin@iSAP5100(snmp) snmp-server 192.168.160.8
4.6.4 SNMP TRAP Address Setup
Configurations as follows:
admin@iSAP5100(snmp) snmp trap-server 192.168.160.145
4.6.5 Network Level Setup
Configurations as follows:
admin@iSAP5100(snmp) setnetwork level 1
When network level is set to 1, iSAP5100 can only connect to PC. Lower level equipments can access with Level 2
right.
