A.7.23.1 Port 1 to Port 2 Mirror
The mirror mode provides fiber aggregation or 'trunking'. It uses one or two fiber lines to achieve this feature.
A.7.23.2 Port VLAN (1/3; 2/4)
The single 10/100AS-2 acts like two Fast media converters in one package. The centrally located converter
may also connect to two different remote locations with 10/100A at each remote, as shown in the second graphic
above.
A.7.23.3 Port 1 and Port 2 Redundancy
In this mode one fiber is active, while the other is on standby. This creates a 1+1 redundant path protection. If
main fiber is broken, the second fiber will quickly take over the transmissions. The application requires two fiber
links at the same time, but one fiber is in standby.
