To adjust the frame rate, image size and color depth
If you are using Video Blaster WebCam Control
On the top panel of WebCam Control, click the Format icon.
The Format Properties dialog box appears (see Figure 3-1 on page 3-1).
Setting the frame rate
The frame rate on the Stream Format tabbed page of the Format Properties dialog box is the
hardware frame rate. This is the rate at which the camera streams the video frames to
WebCam Control. This frame rate affects the preview in the Video window.
It is different from the software frame rate specified in Frame rate box in the VB WebCam
Control Settings dialog box on the General tabbed page. The software frame rate affects the
frame rate used when recording a video clip.
The maximum frame rate achievable for both preview and recording is limited by the hardware
frame rate. A higher frame rate requires more intensive CPU utilization.
The default value for this frame rate is 30 frames per second.
Flipping the image
horizontally
To flip the image that you see in the Video window horizontally, select the Flip Horizontal
check box. Otherwise, clear it.
