CAlIbRATE ThE Flow CoNTRol SETTINg
1. Move the control lever (A) to the “OFF” position.
2. Slide the control bracket along the control tube until the
shut-off plate in the bottom of the hopper is closed.
3. Lightly tighten the hex nuts that fasten the flow control
bracket to the control tube.
4. Set the adjustable stop (B) at “5”. Pull the control lever (A)
against the stop (B) and verify that the shut-off plate has
opened about half way.
5. If the shut-off plate does not open half way, adjust the
position of the control bracket until the shut-off plate
opens about half way and closes completely.
6. Tighten the hex nuts.

Assemble and attach the included deflector for
applications that require a narrower spread pattern
such as spreading product on sidewalks or around
landscaping edges. Follow the steps below.
Step 17: (fig. 17)
1. Place the grate (AD) in the bottom of the hopper and
attach the cover (AJ) over the top.

1. Attach the plastic clips (W) to the Deflector (AC) using a
slot bolt (V) and SEMS hex nut (T).
2. Attach the Deflector (AC) as shown in Fig 19.
